Film review: The Incredible HulkTaglineGet ready to unleash the beast! plot The last time the world saw Hulk, he was an unstoppable force running amuck. Dr. Bruce Banner was caught in a gamma blast, during an experiment he was helping with, that forever changed his life. When made angry, his heartrate increasing vastly, the other being within him emerges. The Hulk, a temper filled beast the color of green and who isn’t that bright in the mind. With the army making chase, what’s a guy to do? Bruce is still on the run. This time he’s made it his mission to find a cure to what happened to him. While doing this, he’s also finding ways to control the Hulk and keep out of the watchful eyes of the military. To accomplish this mission he will need the help of his only love, Betty Ross, and a scientist he has been secretly sharing notes with while on the run. But the military will stop at nothing. This time around, they have their own “abomination.” Things are about to get very ugly. ActingThis time around, Hollywood got it right! In the last movie I was very disappointed with everything. The Hulk was not was it should have been. But add Edward Norton as Bruce Banner and you already have a good movie on the way. He never disappoints me and still didn’t. He wasn’t too nerdy in the role and had the part down pact. It helps that he was a fan of the comic book series. And Liv Tyler shined as Betty Ross. A much better choice. Maybe not entirely perfect in the movie but her acting was better, in my opinion, than the last actress. More believable for me. William Hurt as General Ross was good too. A man who doesn’t care who is in his way to reach his goal. Verdict: Finally someone had the guts to retry the Hulk series! The last movie was a total letdown and we needed someone to spice it up. Good action and good acting. A good choice to go see in theatres and will be a good buy on DVD. |
