Choose your destiny.

plot

Life can be quite boring if you’re Wesley Gibson. You wake up every morning in the same old apartment. Your cheating girlfriend is snoring next to you without a care. You go to work to the same old job that you hate with the same god awful boss. No change. Simply boring and ordinary. Then one day Wesley’s world gets turned upside down. And not with some small thing either.

The League of Assassins. A group of highly skilled assassins with heightened abilities and senses to aid them in their appointed jobs. They’ve been around for years throughout history. Eliminating those deemed evil by a divine power above. Now they have a threat of someone trying to take them down. They need Wesley, the son of their top assassin, to help them out. Nothing is what it seems though. And now Wesley has to figure out who to trust and just what is the right thing to do. Join him in a rush of action moves like no other movie can produce. This thrill ride is waiting for you!

Acting

The cast was highly impressive to me. James McAvoy was really good as the nerdy guy with quite a legacy to live up to, Wesley Gibson, who just wanted to live a better life. His transformation into a top assassin was great. He was my favourite in the movie. Angelina Jolie surprised me as the lovely and talented Fox. She had me fooled with her character as well. Morgan Freeman is always a treat. As their leader, Sloan, he had the power to cause things to go his way if he wanted to. He gave the jobs out, and you followed without fail.

Verdict: This movie was awesome! I went in expecting just another movie based off of a comic. Just some action and story. Enough to be good. But it went beyond ordinary. The effects used for the action was fantastic. And there were twists thrown in for good measure. It may not have followed the comics to the letter, but it still held strong. See it and be blown away!
