This is the fourth installment of The Crow. The original film (1994) became legendary when leading actor Brandon Lee was accidentally shot dead on the set. The film was finished later as a tribute to him, using a body double and unused material with Brandon Lee in it to fill the scenes.

Tagline
Passion..Revenge...Eternity.

Plot
The basic storyline for all four films is the same: there are two people with a very strong bond (couples mostly, father/son in City of Angels), they both are murdered and one of them is brought back to life to avenge their killers. They are immortal until this is done, after which they will die again, and are guided by a crow whose 'powers' they posess. Their immortality is relative though; hurt the crow and the human crow is wounded as well.

In this particular film, bad boy Luc Cash (Boreanaz) performs a couple of rituals to become an immortal demon. In tis proces, Jimmy Cuervo (Furlong) and his girlfriend Lilly are killed by Cash and his not-so-merry men. Cuervo rises again to seek revenge. Lilly's brother blames Cuervo for her death and chases him while he chases Cash and his boys to stop them from completing the rituals.

Acting
Casting Boreanaz to play yet another immortal demon is getting quite old. He was alright during his first seasons in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but he should have said farewell to the genre after that. Or at least accept decent roles. Furlong wasn't convincing, but that also has to do with the crappy script. Like all the bad guys in The Crow, Cash has a female evil sidekick, this time played by Tara Reid. Cute, but that's it. She didn't add anything to the film, but wasn't the worst actor either.

Verdict: Utter crap and an insult to James O'Barr, creator of The Crow. The plot was very predictable and the acting rubbish.
